Own software development teams

altA dedicated development team works on the continuous improvement of Eyefreight. Thus we are always able to respond quickly to new wishes and demands, after all we share the same expertise and we are close to our customers. Our programming code is efficient and this results, amongst others, in solid applications and short response times.

 

Already in the nineties Itude has started with the development of its own Java expertise. Java is the most suitable technology for online applications. We have set up a Java talent education program in order to train our own developers and provide them with continuous refresher courses.

 

In addition to the Java development team for Eyefreight, we also have a dedicated development team for mobile applications (mobile apps). This team develops business applications for all mobile platforms and devices (iPhone, Google, Nokia, scanning devices, RFID etc.).
 

Experience in Logistics

The concept behind Eyefreight has been developed based on practical experience in the logistics playing field. It often was striking to see that multi-nationals only had a limited insight in freight flows and that an efficient control of payments to carriers is very labour-intensive. Often transportation planning is done at a decentralized level, in the local branch offices.

 

Ad hoc communication, information maintained in individual spreadsheets, many deviations during the execution, and the labour-intensive invoice checking, all contributed to making it almost impossible for many companies to streamline these processes at a central level.

 

This insight resulted in the idea to do something about this situation. After all, if all these companies in principle have the same problem, then the development of a solution would be the logical next step.
 


Eyefreight in Italy

Smart VCO, a logistics consultancy agency, with its headquarters in Verona (IT), has signed a partnership agreement with Itude for the introduction of Eyefreight on the Italian market. Smart VCO shall provide local support in Italy. A perfect step towards the international roll-out of Eyefreight.
